Birth date and birth place: 12th August, 1959, Khmelnitsky area, Ukraine.

Education: PhD of jurisprudence, the Nizhny Novgorod Law Academy (2005), a lawyer; the Moscow Teacher Training Institute (1985), a teacher of history of the state and law.

After serving in the Armed forces of the USSR, entered the Moscow Teacher Training Institute. He has started his career with a position of the expert of the Gorky bureau of commodity examinations of the Moscow office of the USSR CCI. After that he worked in the main economic planning administration of the Gorky regional executive committee, External economic industrial-commercial company “Impeks - Nizhny Novgorod” in which he held at first a post of the Deputy General Director, and then the General Director. Since 1994 his activity has been connected with the Nizhny Novgorod Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

D. Krasnov is awarded with the Order of Merit and marked by Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation for the support of development of small and medium business, Distinction of Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of II Class for the large contribution to business development in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and formation of regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an order of Russian Orthodox Church of St. Daniel of III Class.

Hobby: Russian literature, hunting, fishing.
